Sunset Zoo in Manhattan will host its annual family-friendly Halloween event, Boo at the Zoo, on October 24–26.
Formerly known as Spooktacular, the event offers a safe and festive trick-or-treating experience throughout the zoo. Friday evening (4–6 p.m.) is reserved for High-Risk and Special Populations, featuring sensory-friendly activities and a performance by the Manhattan Symphony.
The weekend sessions (9:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m.) include trick-or-treat stations, a zoo-wide scavenger hunt, animal ambassador programs, a boogey dance floor, photo ops, local entertainment, and an inflatable obstacle course on Saturday and Sunday. Costumes are encouraged but must remain family-friendly and zoo-safe.
Tickets are available online on the zoo’s website or at the zoo’s ticket booth. Visitors are encouraged to pre-purchase tickets to avoid lines and review costume, parking, and event guidelines on the zoo’s website.
