The United Way of Junction City/Geary County will launch its 2024-2025 “Kickoff Campaign” tomorrow (Thursday) at the Junction City High School varsity football game against Lawrence at Blue Jay Stadium. Scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m., this event will feature a tailgate and raffles.

Executive Director Nicole Mader announced that the tailgate, located near the entrance to Blue Jay Stadium, will offer a meal consisting of smoked sausage, chips, and water. Attendees can participate in a 50/50 raffle and another raffle to win a camping package or Junction City Blue Jay gear. Additionally, new bright yellow United Way shirts will be sold at the game.

Proceeds from the event will support United Way’s direct services and their partner agencies.
