This past Sunday, October 29th, the Wakefield Pride organization hosted the first annual howl-o-weenie pet parade and costume contest. Contestants dressed up their pets and walked them past the judges to see who had the best costume, then walked down the road to the Wakefield Care and Rehab nursing home to play with the resident seniors. Leza Chryssovergis of Wakefield Pride organized the event:
1st place prize went to Yamilys Wagner and her goldendoodle Lily, who dressed up as a pig. Ashley Drumler and her two sons were the runners up, with their French bulldog Frannie, who dressed as a hotdog.
