Illustration Workshop at Marysville Public Library

Kids are encouraged to join us at the Marysville Public Library for an Illustration Workshop featuring illustrator Bruce Arant! The workshop will be on Saturday, June 29. Call us at 785-562-2491 to sign up or go to marysville.lib.nckls.org.

At 11 am, suggested grades Kindergarten through 6th will be invited to participate in Picture Book Illustrating. Get a behind-the-scenes view of illustrating a picture book and have fun exercising your “imagination muscles!”

At 12 pm, a light lunch will be served for any participant.

At 12:30 pm, our second session, suggested for grades 3rd-6th will be invited to participated in an Illustration Workshop. They’ll learn simple but effective ways to depict emotions through drawing different facial expressions–then they’ll get to illustrate a story!

We’d love your kids to come to these sessions. As per the Marysville Public Library policy, children must be eight years or older to stay alone in the library. If they are seven or younger, a caregiver must be present in the library at all times.
