Join the Linn community for the beloved Mexican-Christmas tradition of Las Posadas! Sunday December 21, starting at 6:00pm, hosted at Zion Lutheran Church in Linn. 210 Church Street, Linn KS 66953. Come for the traditional Caminata (procession) followed by a fiesta with traditional food, drink, and piñatas!

Las Posadas is a Mexican-Christmas tradition started by the early Roman Catholic missionaries to Mexico in 1587 AD as a way to introduce the story of Christmas and Jesus to the Aztec people. It has since grown into a Hispanic tradition across countries and denominations. It consists of a procession from house to house with traditional songs, remembering the journey of Mary and Joseph seeking lodging (posadas) in preparation for the birth of Jesus Christ. The fiesta follows with food and drinks generously provided by members of our Hispanic community.
