Donations for Single Fort Riley Soldiers Sought

Fort Riley, Kan. — Soldiers deployed to Poland, Lithuania, and other NATO countries have been deployed for over 9 months due to the current situation in Ukraine and a coming home soon.
Krystle Koch got in touch with Operation Once in a Lifetime to help single soldiers as they make their way home to their barracks.

The Texas-based company decided they would help do the same with 1400+ Ft. Riley single soldiers who will be heading home soon by providing new linens, snacks and toiletries for their rooms. They’re asking for donations for the effort.

Koch says they’ve also been working with local organizations for donations.

She continued that the biggest reason behind the effort is these soldiers don’t have families to come home to. They want to be that family for them so they can just come home and relax.
