Outdoor Eating Coming to Downtown Clay Center

Clay Center, Kan. — Clay Center’s downtown area is going to have a new look after the city council approved two ordinances during Tuesday nights meeting.
The first would allow eateries in downtown Clay Center to add outdoor dining to their facilities. With 15-24 Brew House working to get the project going, we asked General Manager and Brewmaster Clint Armstrong what this will look like for the business.

Clint said they hope to have the outdoor eating area set up before July 4th, but wants to get it up by June 20th.

The complete size will be about 36 feet by 12 feet. He added there will also be four to six heaters to keep you warm during those colder days.

Overall, he’s excited for the possibilities the new ordinance will bring.
The other ordinance allows for outdoor sound systems in the downtown area.
