21st Annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive in Manhattan

By Ryan Duey

Riley County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is proud to announce its participation in the 21st Annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive, set to take place in Manhattan on July 11 and 12. This annual event fosters camaraderie among local first responders through a friendly competition to determine who can recruit the most blood donors. “Riley County PD won last year, and we’re ready to bring the trophy home to EMS where it belongs,” said David Adams, Riley County EMS Director. “We encourage everyone in the community to come out, donate blood, and support their favorite first responders.” In addition to the satisfaction of contributing to a lifesaving cause, donors will receive a commemorative Battle of the Badges t-shirt while supplies last. To participate, schedule an appointment to donate by visiting www.RedCrossBlood.org, using the Blood Donor App, or calling 1-800-RED-CROSS. Be sure to use the sponsor code ManhattanKS to register for this event.
