Chapman Police Wants to Keep the Community Informed on Masked Vape Devices

By Ryan Duey

The Chapman Police Department recently made an announcement on Facebook about a new style of vape pen that largely looks to cater to teenagers. The pens in question were found nearby in Oklahoma and are Vape pens designed to look and work like ink pens.

Chapman Police Chief Kevin Diercks said that they haven’t seen them in the area yet, but know that they will eventually be here.

These proactive releases are a way to keep parents informed of these new types of masked devices. If you catch your child with devices like these it’s important to address the risks with them, Diercks said.

Chief Diercks said that parents are more than welcome to contact them if they’d like any information on the dangers of underage vaping.
