Clifton, Kansas is holding their blood drive today the Clifton American Legion until 6:00 p.m. The American Red Cross needs blood donors now more than ever, so they are hoping for a good turnout. Blood donations have been decreasing, and this summer, there were about 25,000 less donations at the beginning of the summer than previous years.
Blood donations are very important; every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. In total, 29,00 units of red blood cells are needed every day. One car accident victim alone can require as many as 100 units of blood.
