The Junction City Animal Shelter recently announced on Social Media that they will be closed for a minimum of one week to monitor symptoms that could resemble Kennel Cough.

Out of precaution, the Shelter will be halting all adoptions or showings until they can verify if it is Kennel Cough or not. Once clear, they will send an update out.

Given the nature of our shelter and how many dogs they house, this is a very common illness shelters can see. It just takes one stray dog to bring Kennel Cough in.

They request that all local dog owners be vigilant and understand that public places can allow this to spread.
