The North Central Kansas Family Care Center in Concordia has successfully completed its annual community outreach initiative, providing 430 free sports physicals to local students, a service valued at $15,000. These physicals are essential for athletic participation at junior high, high school, and college levels. The initiative was open to all students, ensuring equal opportunities for participation in school sports, which are crucial for physical fitness, teamwork, and personal development.
The comprehensive evaluations included a review of medical history, vital signs, and assessments of cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and neurological health. The initiative received overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents, coaches, and school administrators, with many expressing gratitude for the relief of financial burden.
The Family Care Center plans to continue this tradition, reinforcing its dedication to the well-being of local youth.
