Load rating set for J-Hill Road bridge in Geary County

KDOT Release

The Kansas Department of Transportation has set a load rating of 15 tons for a single-axle, 20 tons for a double-axle and 30 tons for a triple-axle or greater on the J-Hill Road bridge over I-70 in Geary County.

These load ratings have been implemented by KDOT due to recent damage. KDOT continues to monitor and regularly inspect the bridge’s condition. Project planning is underway for a full bridge replacement.
