City of Abilene/Union Pacific Railroad

Union Pacific Railroad will be performing maintenance on multiple railroad crossings in the area from Wednesday, February 5, through Friday, February 7, 2025.  As each crossing closes, it is expected to be closed for approximately three days for repairs.

During this time, traffic in affected areas will be impacted, and motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes. By Friday, February 7, 2025, the Buckeye Avenue and Cherry Street crossings will be the only available southbound crossings until maintenance is complete.

Drivers are urged to exercise caution near railroad crossings and adhere to all posted detour signage.
