Job Duties: load trucks, operate fertilizer blending equipment, operate forklift and skid steer loader, load customers and tender trucks, vehicle and facility maintenance, occasional grain elevator duties.
Job Requirements: must be able to lift 50#, must have valid Kansas driver’s license, pass a drug screen, self-starter with a good work ethic. Job will require some seasonal overtime–primarily in the spring and summer. Preference will be given to any applicants with experience operating machinery and/or having a valid class A or class B CDL driver’s license, but those are not requirements for this position.

The City of Clay Center is seeking a full time WWTP Operator with mechanical abilities and ability to obtain a class 2 wastewater certificate within two (2) years of hire. CLAY COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT
The Clay County Highway Department is taking applications for the following position:
Equipment Operator (Operator II)
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operates construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment including, Dump
Trucks, front-end loaders, excavators, or grade tractors.
Transports tools and other construction equipment to and from construction sites
Inspects and fuels vehicle prior to beginning shift. Performs routine maintenance and repairs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities, Ability to follow instructions
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of operating heavy machinery.
Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends, when necessary. Must be able to
operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains. Must be able to lift 25+ pounds at a
time.
Must have a current CDL, (Commercial Driver’s License) and must agree to take a pre-
employment Drug and Alcohol test.
Position is full-time with fringe benefits.
