Community Memorial Healthcare is pleased to announce Physician Assistant, Claire Blumer, will join the Blue Rapids Medical Clinic beginning December 1, 2025.

Claire is originally from Hanover, KS. She earned her degree in life sciences at Kansas State University and completed her Master of Physician Assistant training at Wichita State University. Prior to joining CMH, she previously worked at KSTAT Urgent Care in Manhattan, and, most recently, at the Centralia Medical Clinic in Centralia.

“I loved growing up in a small town and understand the value of providing personalized healthcare and caring for my neighbors,” said Blumer. “Rural medicine is personal medicine. It’s different because you live, work, play, and pray side by side. I enjoy practicing family medicine because of the variety of patients and relationships built across the lifespan. I look forward to building lasting relationships to promote wellness and preventative care.”

“We are excited to welcome Claire to our practice,” said Curtis R. Hawkinson, FACHE, CEO of Community Memorial Healthcare. “With her work ethic and passion for rural medicine, she will be a wonderful addition to our clinic in Blue Rapids and our organization as a whole.”

Claire and her husband, Dave, live in Marysville and have three daughters (Sophia, Bella, and Anna). She enjoys spending time with friends and family, running, reading, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.

Claire will begin seeing patients at the Blue Rapids Medical Clinic, located at 607 Lincoln Street, starting in December.
