Konza Prairie Community Health Center is celebrating Community Care Clinic Month with a food drive to stock its Konza Cupboard & Food Pantry in Junction City.
The Konza Cupboard, located outside the clinic, and the Food Pantry, located inside, provide essential resources to Konza patients during appointments. Patients can select healthy food options that support their health conditions.
The Cupboard and Pantry primarily rely on donations and limited monthly funding, serving hundreds of people annually. Kalie Kipp, Konza Dietitian, and food drive coordinator, highlights the gratitude expressed by many patients for this additional service.
The clinic hopes to collect 600 pounds of food during August, with all Konza staff participating by donating food and hygiene items. The public is encouraged to contribute by dropping off donations at the Konza Clinic Medical Check-in Desk.
