Betty Ann Strait, age 81, of Concordia, Kansas passed away surrounded by her loving family at Sunset Home in Concordia, KS on January 8th, 2025.

Betty was born March 30th, 1943 in Rural, Narka, KS to Ernest and Helen (Blazek) Klima.

She married Bill Beaumont which the union brought her two son’s Pete and Randy Beaumont. They later divorced and she then married the love of her life Harold “Bo” Strait on June 24th, 1974 at the Cloud County Court House.

She held many jobs over her lifespan which included retiring from F & A Retail Store after working 38 years.

She was a member of the American Legion Post #76 Women’s Auxiliary, and The Citizen’s National Bank Friendship Club. Betty was an active dancer who loved going to Jolly Mixers in Salina, KS every Wednesday night.

With her husband, Bo, they enjoyed Fishing, Driving Around, and spending endless time together. In any free time, you could find her putting puzzles together, doing word searches, and Sudoku. But most of all she treasured her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Helen (Blazek) Klima, and her late husband Bo Strait.

She is survived by her sons; Pete (Tina) Beaumont and Randy (Annette) Beaumont, Grandchildren; Ashley (Shelby) Hagen, Brent (Fiancé Julie) Beaumont, Allie Beaumont, and Amber Beaumont, Great Grandchildren; Addison and Beau Hagen, and Baby Beaumont, to arrive in March 2025.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 9th, 2025 at Nutter Mortuary 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, Concordia, KS on Friday, January 10th, 2025 at 10:30 AM. The burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, KS.

A memorial fund has been established, In Memory of Betty Strait, to be designated at a later date.
