Obituary-Billy Allred

Billy Dean Allred, age 73, of Concordia, Kansas, went to be with His Lord and Savior on Friday, October 21, 2022 at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia, Kansas.  He was born on February 5, 1949 in Dallas, Texas to Jesse & Lou (Jenkins) Allred.

Billy grew up in the Dallas, Texas community and attended Seagoville High School.

Billy served in the United States Army from July 26, 1966 ~ July 24, 1972 during the Vietnam War.  He enlisted in the Army Reserves upon returning home to the states.  Billy was honorably discharged as a PFC E-5.

He married Patricia Anderson in Mesquite, Texas.  They were united in marriage for 30 wonderful years.

He was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Scurry, TX.

He was an over the road freight relocation engineer driver for 40 years until he retired in January of 2010.

Billy enjoyed his retirement where he gained the hobby of woodworking.  He loved making and personalizing canes, birdhouses, and tables.  He also was a avid clock collector.  Through life Billy enjoyed pranking his family and having fun joking around for everyone’s amusement.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Allred, Concordia, KS; brother, Vernon Allred and (Sharon), Mesquite, TX; mother-in-law, Janette Thorpe, Glasco, KS; sister-in-law, Michell Thompson and (Chris), Ft. Worth, TX; daughter, Camri Tidwell, Ft. Worth, TX; his three grandchildren, Isaiah, Genesiz, and Isaac; and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Lou, sister, Shirley Vaden, and brother, Kenneth Allred.

It was Billy’s wishes to be cremated and the family will have a Celebration of Life service 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 12th 2022 at the Victory Church in Scurry, Texas.

For all the local friends and family in the Concordia community who knew Billy, the family welcomes you to stop by the home and share a memory or just for support and fellowship with Patricia during this difficult time.
