Obituary-Carl Holt

In loving memory of Carl Eugene Holt, 87, Kansas City, MO, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023. Mr. Holt was born Oct. 15, 1936, in Randall and graduated as part of Randall HS Class of 1954.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War era and was a career aviation mechanic for TWA.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard Holt and Aileen and Othel Zimmer, brother Kem Zimmer, sister Pat Jordan (Holt), sister Beverly Lamer and infant son Micheal Carl Holt.

Survivors include his wife Joyce (Rockwell), former wife Beverly Rogers (Swain), Wichita, brother Kurt Zimmer, Jamestown, children Cary, St. Petersburg, FL, Carlene Nelson, Wichita, LaTisha Holt, Lincoln, NE, Mark Ledkins, Berea, KY and Jason Rockwell, Houston, TX, grandchildren Amber Holt, Midland City, AL, Kamee Nelson, Wichita, Belinda Nelson, Wichita, Kristina Rockwell-Harrington, Shreveport, LA, and Kyle Rockwell, Colo. Springs, CO, and great-grandchildren Christopher Rockwell, and Tyler and Searra Harrington.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, November 10, 2023, in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia.  The Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.

The celebration of Carl’s Life will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 10, 2023, in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home in Concordia, with Rev. Mark Crist officiating. Military Honors will be conducted at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home by the American Legion Post #76 and V.F.W. Post #588, Concordia.

Burial will follow in the Randall Cemetery, Randall, Kansas.  A reception will be held after the graveside service back at the Jamestown Senior Center, Jamestown.
