Carol Jean Thrasher, 71, of Clyde, Kansas passed away at NCK Medical Center on January 20, 2025. She was the oldest child born to Salomon and Susie (Garcia) Sigala, on August 18, 1953, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The family moved to La Puente California where she attended school and graduated from La Puente High in 1971.
She met Kevin Thrasher in a bowling league in the winter of 1971 and they were married on March 9, 1974. This union brought three children, Kevin, Jr., Paul, and Jamie.
The family moved to Kansas City in 1991 where Carol continued managing food establishments until she began working security at Kansas City International Airport.
Carol enjoyed crafting with her Cricut. Her craft room was filled to the brim and she took her things to craft shows, and made things that can be seen at Brantford Community Church.
She loved to be outside, going to the lake and pool, and taking her children camping. Her children fondly remember movies at the Merriam Drive In.
She was loved by all and loved everyone back. She was stubborn and a firecracker. Kevin declares that when God created her, there was no mold.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Salomon and Susie Sigala.
She will be missed by her husband, Kevin Thrasher, Clyde, KS; children, Kevin Thrasher, Jr (Sheena), Clyde, KS, Paul Thrasher (Georgia), Kingsport, TN, and Jamie Holmden, Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Haley, Levi, and Chase Thrasher, Rex and Susie Thrasher, and Tommy, Noah, and Liam Holmden; her siblings Joaneva Cameron, Marcella Roark, Annette Sigala, and Sal Sigala, Jr; along with many other relatives and special friends.
A family led memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the Brantford Community Church, with Pastor Michael Ostermann officiating.
