Obituary-Carol M. Lingo

Carol M. Lingo, age 75, left this earthly life on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at the Park Villa Nursing Home, Clyde, Kansas.  She was born on February 7, 1947 in Concordia, KS to Tom and Della Mae (Greer) Barleen.

She was a member of the Concordia High School Class of 1965 .

Carol married Larry Lingo on August 26, 1964 in Concordia, KS.  He preceded her in death on May 31, 2005.  To this union three daughters were born, Jeanette, Colleen, and Nicole.

She was a beautician at Total Image in Concordia from 1984 until 2004.  Prior to becoming a cosmetologist, she was a homemaker and farm wife taking care of the home details at the Double L Ranch and Farm.

She was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Club, Aurora Starlighters, Concordia Women’s Bowling League and the GoGo Girls.

The activities that brought her joy include decorating and cleaning her beautiful home, doing hair, square dancing, bowling, spending time playing cards & dominoes, cooking and taking meals to the field during harvest, spoiling her dogs, shopping with her daughters but most of all Carol loved her family and friends.

She is survived by her three Daughters, Jeanette Ouellette and husband Marlin, Concordia, KS; Colleen Villa and husband Pancho, Topeka, KS; Nicole Begnoche and husband Alvin, Jenks, OK; three, Granddaughters, Jessica Elliott and husband Larz, of Arthur, NE; Haley Reedy and husband Adam, Concordia, KS; Segan Villa, Topkea, KS.; 5 great grandchildren, sisters Martha Eakins, Clyde,KS.; Meredith Bechard and husband Dale, Clifton, KS; two brothers Owen Barleen and Loyal Barleen, Concordia, KS.; Brother In-Laws Bill Powell, Concordia, KS; Frank Lingo, Concordia, KS; and Sister In-Law Patricia Greenberg and husband Chet, Concordia, KS.  Peggy Lingo, Charlotte, NC.; and Many nieces and nephews,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry, parents, Tom and Della Mae, Sister Peggy Powell, Brother In-Laws Art Eakins, Jim Liby, Carl Lingo, and David Goernandt.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Chaput-Buoy, Concordia, with Rev. Earl Hale officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Ames, Kansas.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 1-8 pm with the family receiving friends from 6-8 pm all at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
