Obituary-Cary Stupka

Cary J. Stupka, age 58, of Concordia, KS, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on July 1, 1965 in Larned, KS to Charles R. “Chuck” and Marilyn F. (Hutfles) Stupka.

A graduate of Fort Scott High in the class of 1984, Cary entered into carpentry school (Goodland, KS). Mastering his craft over the years, he constructed many projects through the state of Kansas. In 1990, he founded Cary J. Stupka Construction making Concordia home. Cary married his wife, Diana Carlow, in 2005 assisting him along the way. Cary J. Stupka Construction completed many staples in the community, including F&A Food Services, Majestic Theatre, Cloud Ceramics, Cloud Co Ag Building, Broadway Plaza, and many more.

He is survived by his wife, Diana, Concordia, KS; his mother, Marilyn Weishapl, Colby, KS; brothers, Christopher Stupka (Carla) and Curtis Stupka (Deanna), both of Concordia; a sister, Cecilia Moss (Tommy), Menlo, KS; step-son, Ty Gennette, Concordia, KS; stepdaughter, Danae Henry (Derek), Concordia, KS; grandchildren, KeyLee, Ila, Liv, Emy Gennette, Decker Henry, and several nieces (Catie, Danielle, Taylor, Christen) and nephews (Ryan, Todd, Chuck, Tyler).

Cary was preceded in death by his father, Charles “Chuck” Stupka, his step-father, Charles Weishapl, and step-son, Trevor Gennette.

Cary’s wishes were to be cremated. Friends may sign the register book from 9 am to 5 pm, Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, KS. We will celebrate Cary’s life on Thursday, May 16, 2024 11:00 am at the funeral home with Fr. Joseph Kieffer officiating. family greeting will now be from 1-5 pm, Thursday, at Warehouse 315, 315 W. 5th St., Concordia, KS.
