Obituary-Dale Wayne Pralle

Dale Wayne Pralle, 70, of Bremen, Kansas, passed away December 23, 2025, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington, Kansas, after a brief struggle with pancreatic cancer.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, at the Hanover Mortuary.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 31, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, northeast of Bremen. Private burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Dale was born June 24, 1955, at Marysville, Kansas, the oldest son of Ludwig and Verda (Holle) Pralle on June 24, 1955. He spent his entire life in the Bremen area and was blessed with lifelong friends in the Bremen Crew and beyond who were his childhood pals and partners in crime. He was both a fourth-generation farmer and self-made man who was a well-respected carpenter who built and updated homes for countless families in his community.

He met his soulmate, Jenny Plett, when he was 18. They were married on October 5, 1974, at Sterling, Kansas. In their 51 years of marriage, they created a loving home and closeknit family together. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and uncle who loved kids. If you’ve ever been called a toad or a knothead, had your shoulder pinched or your hair pulled, know that he loved you.

This land was his cathedral and where he felt closest to his creator. Whether he was walking fenceline, sitting in a tree stand, or fishing in a farm pond, he never let a beautiful summer’s day or a fresh snow fall go to waste. A “mountain man” in the plains, he passed his love of hunting, trapping, and fishing on to each new generation.

He is survived by his loving wife Jenny, their daughters Sara Peterson and Raechel (Nick) Bruna, and his beloved grandchildren Grant and Lauren Bruna. He is also survived by his siblings Pam (Jim) Goeckel, Galen (Ruth Ann) Pralle, and Mark (Michelle) Pralle, and more than a dozen nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ludwig and Verda, his son Eric, and his great-nephew Garrett Klipp.

A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of the Hanover Mortuary, C/o Kinsley Mortuary, P.O. Box 147, Marysville, KS 66508.
