Herschel L. Dalsing, 70, of Miltonvale, KS, formerly of Topeka, KS, died August 8, 2022, at Minot, ND.

A rosary and funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 19, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Axtell.  Father Jim Shaughnessy will officiate.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time at the church.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Axtell.

Herschel was born May 26, 1952, at Irving, KS, son of Francis and Kathryn (Harris) Dalsing.  He grew up in the Topeka and northeast Kansas areas.  In 2019, he moved to Miltonvale.

In 1985, he married Elizabeth Justus.  They later divorced.

Herschel worked at Hill’s Pet Nutrition in Topeka over 40 years.  He enjoyed music and once played in a band.  He also enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, watching western movies, collecting antiques and collectables, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his sons, John (Jen) Dalsing, Phoenix, AZ, and Patrick (Jerrie) Dalsing, Minot, ND; siblings, Mary Ortiz, Patty Dalsing, Donna Burruss, Janet Dalsing, Francis Dalsing, Chris Dalsing, Clinton Dalsing and Mark Dalsing; and six grandchildren, Samantha Sifton, Chloe Smith, Cheyenne Dalsing, Danny Dalsing, Sara Dalsing and Greyson Dalsing.

A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.  Contributions may be sent in care of the Axtell-Landreth Funeral Home.
