Obituary-Jan Conner

Jan Conner, nee Lloyd, 84 of San Antonio, Texas entered into her eternal reward on March 9, 2024. Jan was born on August 11, 1939, the oldest of three children.  She graduated Clay Center High School.   She married Charles (Charlie) Conner on February 28, 1960 in Clay Center, Kansas.  They lived in Kansas City before moving to San Antonio in 1963, when their first son Kevin was born. 

 She was a legal secretary with several law firms in San Antonio.  She then worked with Northeast Independent School District in the Special Education department, and she and Charlie operated a real estate business from 1992 to 2007. 

 She and Charlie were charter members of Shepherd of The Hills Lutheran Church in San Antonio.  Jan was active with the Optimist Club for several years, was active on the neighborhood HOA and various book clubs for many years.  She and Charlie were part of a supper club with fellow church members for over 50 years.  She was at her happiest when people were around, and the house was loud.

 A three-time cancer survivor, she truly loved her life as mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.   She and Charlie always had a project going, whether it was remodeling a house, refinishing furniture, quilting, cross stitch, diamond painting, or jewelry making.  Together, they traveled on cruises, on trips to Mexico, Europe, and throughout the US. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil James Lloyd Sr and Arlene Lloyd of Clay Center, Kansas.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charlie and their children Kevin (Amy) and Kelly (Julie) and granddaughters Rachel Holton, Megan Alexander, Sarah Conner and great granddaughter, Taylor Holton.  She is also survived by her sister Judy (CL) Snodgrass and brother Jim (Coni) Lloyd along with numerous nieces and nephews.

 Donations may be made to Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 6914 Wurzbach, San Antonio, TX   78240.  Memorial services will be held there at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 22, 2024.
