Julie Kay Ray, age 59, of Topeka, KS passed away November 20, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Manhattan, KS to Jerry and Beverly (Smith) Fraser on June 20, 1965.
Julie was raised in Clay Center where she attended Clay Center schools and graduated from Clay Center Community High School in 1983. After high school Julie earned a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in elementary education and returned to Clay Center to teach at the middle school for several years.
Julie married Jon Ray on July 27, 1996 and started a family shortly thereafter. After moving to Topeka in late 1997, Julie began her journey as a holistic health practitioner as she discovered her passion for helping others. She owned and operated Infinite Potential Integrative Health for many years and touched many lives through her work. Always a nature lover, Julie enjoyed fishing, boating, and camping and also let her creativity show through in her love of cooking and crafting. She enjoyed collecting seashells and crystals and would often wander off when at the beach only to return with a bag full of shells.
Julie was an avid animal lover and had numerous pets throughout her life. Whether it was her snakes and iguana in her classroom, rescuing animals, her many canine companions or her free range chickens, Julie always had a heart for nurturing. Above everything else though, Julie loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed by so many.
Julie is preceded in death by her sister, Kelly Fraser, mother-in-law Jo Ray, father-in-law Bill Tagtmeyer and brother-in-law Roger Hayworth.
