Obituary–Karen McNee

Karen Sue McNee, 69 of Clay Center, died Sunday, March 27, 2022 at the Midland Hospice House in Topeka.  She was born on September 5, 1952 in Clay Center, the daughter of Elmo and Wilma (Fyfe) McNee.  She grew up in Clay Center and graduated from CCCHS in 1971.  She worked at the Key Mill egg plant, Mac’s Diner, Cedar Court Restaurant and the Clay Center Presbyterian Manor.  Karen was a member of the Clay Center Wesleyan Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, LaVone Lang and niece, Lisa Lang.Survivors:

Brother: Dean McNee of Clay Center, Kansas

Brother: Bill McNee of Wakefield, Kansas

Sister: Pat and husband, Merle Cullip of Wakefield, Kansas

Sister: Sondra Matthews of Clay Center, Kansas

Aunt: Arlene and husband Dean Gibson of McPherson, Kansas

Brother-in-Law: Ron Lang of Salina, Kansas

15 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the Clay Center Wesleyan Church in Clay Center, Kansas.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Visitation will be from 4-7PM on Friday, April  8, 2022 at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, Clay Center, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to the Karen McNee Memorial Fund to be designated later by the family c/o the funeral home.
