Kirk Brian Bourne, age 60, of Concordia, KS, passed away on October 2, 2024 at his home in Concordia. He was born on March 13, 1964 in Concordia, KS. He was the son of James “Jim” A. & Brenda G. (Cowell) Bourne.
He graduated from Concordia High School in 1982. He moved to the Sacramento, CA area and began working for Good Times Kawasaki, then Capitol Yamaha as the service manager until he retired due to injury. He returned to Concordia in 2002.
Kirk was a natural born mechanic and had a passion for motorcycles. He enjoyed Nascar, drag racing and anything with wheels and an engine! He loved riding his Ducati motorcyle! At one time he spent many hours flying, working towards his pilot’s license. As a young man, he loved to camp and fish with his grandparents.
He is survived by his parents, Jim & Brenda Bourne, Concordia, KS; son, Travis Bourne, Hoxie, KS; granddaughter, Taelynn Scott, Salina, KS; brother, Kevin Bourne, Salina, KS; sister, Kimberly Mowery (Trey), Salina, KS; nephew, Hunter Mowery, Salina, KS; other relatives and a host of friends.
It was Kirk’s wishes to be cremated and memorial graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, KS with Celebrant Jim Winter, PMA officiating. Friends may sign the register book from 9 am to 5 pm, Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.
