Obituary-Raymond F. Tremblay

Raymond F. Tremblay, age 88, entered into rest on November 6, 2022 at his home in St. Joseph, Kansas surrounded by his family.  He was born October 12, 1934 in Clay County, Kansas to Phillip and Mary (Bachamp) Tremblay.

Ray was a 1952 graduate of Clyde High School.  Ray served in the United States Army from 1957 ~ 1959 he was honorably discharged.

Ray married Irene Chavey on October 2, 1965 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph, Kansas.  To this union two daughters were born Kaylene and Lana.

He was an Automotive Mechanic and owned and operated Tremblay Repair in St. Joseph, for over 50 years.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, KS.; past member of

St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph, KS.; 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Council #1999, Clyde, KS VFW Post #7515 of Clyde, KS.; Clifton American Legion Post # 227.

His hobbies included car restoration, and most of all spending time with his beloved family.

Ray is Survived by his wife Irene of the home in St. Joseph, KS; two daughters, Kaylene DeRusseau and husband Marc, of Clyde, KS; Lana Moore and husband Andy, of Clyde, KS;  3 Grandchildren, Beau DeRusseau and wife Mollie, Dani Lambert and husband Michael, and Raelynn Moore,  2 great-grandchildren, Kane and Deekon Lambert all of Clyde, KS; sister, Agnes Giroux, Loveland, CO; sister-in-law, Jean Sorell and husband Steve, St. Joseph, KS; sister-in-law, Beth Chavey, Clay Center, KS; brother-in-law, Mark Chavey and wife Julie, Merriam, KS; sister-in-law, Sue Chavey, Manhattan, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marceline B. Weaver, brother-in-law, Tom Chavey.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 with the family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. all at the Chaput Mortuary in Clyde.  A Knights of Columbus Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. in the Chaput Mortuary, Clyde.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 10, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Clyde, with Fr. Steven Heina officiating & Fr. John Wolesky, co-celebrating.  Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Clyde. Military Honors will be conducted by the VFW Post #7515, Clyde, KS.
