He married Cindy Patterson on July 29, 1972, at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Clyde, Kansas. To this union 3 daughters were born, Lacie, Lynelle, and Loni.
Reggie was a member of the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, V.F.W. all of Clyde, and was a volunteer Fireman for the City of Clyde.
He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, demolition derbies, and watching sports. This man could fix anything. He’s the definition of jack of all trades. Most of all Reggie loved watching his grandchildren participate in sports.
Reggie was past owner/operator of Ike’s Mobile Service in Clyde. He was the Custodian at the Clifton Clyde High School for 25 years. Many say the floors were clean enough to eat on. He took pride in his football field. There were many nights of family rides to check the sprinklers. He also worked a short time at the Nazareth Motherhouse in Concordia. Later he landed his dream job and became the Owner of Clyde Auto Parts and retired in 2020.
Throughout the games, jobs, and honey-dos; he grew a bountiful garden-just like his dad. Tomatoes were his specialty. Reggie passed down his love of sports, animals, and cars to his kids and grandkids. His hard work ethic and love of family will be remembered by all.
Reggie is survived by his wife, Cindy Bergstrom, Clyde, KS; three daughters, Lacie (Edmund) Rudolph, Clyde, KS; Lynelle (Lucas) Elliott, Clifton, KS; Loni Kindel, Concordia, KS, brother, Stan (Beth) Bergstrom of Clyde, KS; two sisters, Denise (Dan) Hickman of Portland, OR, Joni (Gary Letourneau) Bergstrom, Jamestown, KS; fourteen grandchildren, Gracie, Aiden, Jaiden, Kaiden Rudolph, Elsie Feight (Phillip), Lane and Locklund Feight, Liam Elliott, Layton, Elodee, Liv, Lincoln and Lawrence Kindel; two great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Canaan Barnes; and his favorite beloved dog Charli.
