Richard J. Wright, Jr., 76 of Miltonvale, died Thursday, June 30, 2022 at his residence.  He was born on July 22, 1945 in Lynch, Nebraska the son of Richard, Sr. and Evelyn (Kelly) Wright.

Richard grew up in Lynch and O’Neill, Nebraska and worked with his family on ranches in Nebraska and South Dakota.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962-1966.  After his service, Richard worked as a self employed truck driver for over 40 years.  He was a past commander of the Miltonvale American Legion and was a member of the V.F.W.    He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Karen Papke.

Son: Richard J. Wright, III of San Diego, California

2 grandchildren: Damien and Olivia

Sister: Linda and husband, Mel Christensen of Lake Andes, South Dakota

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 10:30 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Miltonvale, Kansas.

There will be no visitation.
