Robert “Bob” Speltz, 71 died July 23, 2024, in Clay Center, KS.  He was born on April 22, 1953, in Waterloo, IA, the son of Daniel and Hazel (Benjamin) Speltz.  Bob was a graduate of the Class of 1972 from CCCHS.  Following graduation, he served in the US Navy during the Viet Nam war.  Bob married Beth Kurtenbach on September 4, 1976.  He has worked as a Case IH mechanic for over 50 years, at Allison Implement and later Bruna Implement.  Bob was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and served on the Hayes Cemetery Board.  In his free time, he enjoyed off-roading in the sand dunes.  Bob was preceded in death by his parents and son, Kelley Speltz.

Funeral Services: 10 AM Monday, July 29, 2024, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clay Center, KS

Burial: Hayes Cemetery, Clay County, KS

Visitation: 2-5 PM Sunday, July 28, 2024, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  A vigil service will follow at 5PM
