Obituary-Ronnie Joyner

Ronnie E. Joyner, age 75, lifetime resident of Concordia, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 22, 2022 surrounded by his family at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, Kansas.  He was born in Concordia, Kansas on May 6, 1947 to Robert and Ione (Burch) Joyner.

Ronnie grew up and attended schools in Concordia.  He was a 1965 graduate of Concordia High School.

He married Rae Jean Tatum on Feb. 1, 1975 at Salina, Kansas.  She preceded him in death on July 12, 2016.

Ronnie worked for Abram Ready Mix of Concordia for 35 years.

Ronnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing and loved going to the Concordia Raceway.  Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends and attending their events.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, former member of the Moose Lodge #1428, American Legion Post #76, V.F.W. Post #588 all of Concordia.

He is survived by his sons, Ed Mildfeldt (Karen), Springfield, MO; James Joyner, Sr. (Angie), Concordia, KS & Jeremy Mildfeldt (Nickie), Concordia, KS; daughter, Rebecca Key, Concordia, KS; sister, Bobbie Paulsen, Glasco, KS; sisters-in-law, LaDonna Delashmit, Belgrade, MO; Tressie Robbins, Concordia, KS; brothers-in-law, Paul Tatum (Paula), Concordia, KS; David “Bo” Tatum (Martha), Salina, KS; Marty Tatum, Rockford, Ill., 9 grandchildren & 20 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rae Jean Joyner, parents, Robert and Ione, his 3 grandsons, Edward L. Mildfeldt, Eric Scott Mildfeldt & Dalton Jo Joyner, son-in-law, Wayne, Key, brothers-in-law, Jack Paulsen, Chuch Robbins, Willie Delashmit, sister-in-law, Rose Baird.

Visitation will be from 1-8 pm Monday, September 26, 2022 with family greeting friends from 6-8 pm at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday., September 27, 2022 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Franklin officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.
