Sherry Lynn Trost, age 71, entered into rest on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on October 18, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas to William and Audrey Loveland, Sr.
Sherry was an 1969 graduate of Concordia High School in Concordia, Kansas. She attended Cloud County Community College.
On July 3, 1970 she married Randy Trost at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Concordia, Kansas. To this Union three children were born, Charity, Heath, and Brandon.
Sherry worked for USD #333 Concordia, Kansas in the food service department for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, V.F.W. and American Legion Women’s Aux., & TOPS all of Concordia. She was past member of the Masonic Temple and Mostly Mom’s EHU.
Her hobbies included sewing, quilting, cross stitching, cooking, playing bridge and bunco. Sherry also enjoyed altering wedding and prom dresses. She truly loved attending and watching her grandchildren’s sports and dancing events. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Randy Trost, Concordia, KS; Charity Brown (Bill), Concordia, KS: Heath Trost, Concordia, KS; Dr. Brandon Trost (Amy), McPherson, KS; eight grandchildren, Emily Erkenbrack (Drew), Ryen Trost (Nikki), Darian Trost, Cassidy Brown, Aren Trost, Jasmine Celestine, Nathan Brown and Kierstan Trost; two great grandchildren, Elijah Trost and Kenneth Erkenbrack. Four brothers, Gary Loveland (Rhea), Taiban, NM; Bill Loveland, Jr. (Karen), Wichita, KS; Larry Loveland, Wichita, KS; Brad Hudgens (Marlene) Wichita, KS; two sisters, Cindy Loveland, Concordia, KS; Julia Hulnick (Les), Wichita, KS.; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Audrey.
Visitation will be held from 1-8 p.m, Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5-7 pm.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas with Pastor Randy Whitley officiating. Burial will follow in the Nelson Center Cemetery, Huscher, Kansas.
