Obituary-Stanley F. Kohn

Stanley F. Kohn, 65 years of age, of Concordia passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Cloud County Health Center in Concordia.  He was born on December 19, 1956 in Tipton, Kansas to Alex and Claire Jean (Schmitt) Kohn.

He was a 1975 graduate of Guide Rock High School, Guide Rock, Nebraska.

On July 22, 1989 he married Kathleen M. Landry at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Concordia, Kansas.  They celebrated 33 years of marriage this past July.  To this Union two children were born, Kimberly and Jacob.  Kathleen brought into this marriage two children Michelle and Bruce.

Stanley was a Warehouseman and forklift operator for F&A Food Sales in Concordia, Kansas for 40 years.  He also handled  the Government commodities at F&A Food Sales.

He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kansas.

Stanley’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, crossword puzzles, card games, suduko and loved watching old classic tv, movies and most of all John Wayne western’s.  He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his grandchildren dearly.  He always had a candy treat to share with them.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Kathleen Kohn, Clyde, KS.; two daughters, Michelle (Jason) Fahring, Attica, KS.; Kimberly Kohn; a son, Jacob Kohn, both of Clyde, KS.; five grandchildren, Emme, CT, Addie, Jadon, & Landry; two brothers, Gary (Susan) Kohn of Wilmette, IL, Jeff (Annette) Kohn of Lincoln, NE; sister, Jeanne (Kerry) Keifer of Belden, NE;

He was preceded in death by his father, Alex Kohn, mother, Claire Jean Kohn, a son, Bruce Peterson.

A book signing will be held from 1-5 p.m on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, KS.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, Kansas with Fr. David Metz officiating. A Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m., Thursday morning, prior to the memorial mass at the Church, Led by Fr. David Metz.

Burial of cremains will follow in the St. Concordia Catholic Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
