Obituary-Stanley Mueller

Stanley Mueller, 69, of Frankfort, KS, passed away from a heart attack on March 19, 2024, at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville, KS.

A visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, at Padden Funeral Chapel in Frankfort.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 27, at the Frankfort United Methodist Church.

Burial will follow in the Frankfort Cemetery.

Stan was born on January 28, 1955, to Marvin and Lorena (Meyer) Mueller in Washington, KS, and was raised in Linn, KS.  He attended grade school at Zion Lutheran School.  On March 30, 1969, Stan was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church.  He went to Linn High School and graduated in the class of 1973.

After high school, Stan began school for welding at NCK Tech in Beloit, KS, graduating in 1974.  After receiving his degree, he spent the remainder of his career at various jobs.

Stan was united in marriage to Rhonda Lupher at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Barnes, KS on Easter Sunday, April 14, 1974.  He was a very loving husband, always putting Rhonda first.  They truly lived for each other and made the best team for the 49 years they were blessed to be married.

Freshly out of NCK Tech, Stan began working at the Coop in Greenleaf, KS, alongside his dad, who taught him everything he knew.  Eventually, Stan began a new job at Kuhlman Implement and Hardware in Linn until starting at John Deere in Clay Center, KS, where he was a salesman.  One of his last jobs was Linn Post and Pipe until Stan and Rhonda moved to Frankfort in 2010 to be closer to family.  Here, Stan got hired to do maintenance for the Frankfort Care Home until retiring in 2017.

Stan loved retirement.  He always kept busy at home, whether it was tinkering in his shop, getting equipment ready to use, keeping his lawn pristine or upkeeping his garden.  Everything had a place.  Stan could take an idea he had in his head, and put it down on paper perfectly, whether it was for a project at home or one of the many projects he completed at work.   Those who knew Stan also knew he had a good sense of humor and could make everyone laugh.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother, Jim Mueller and his wife Alison Mueller.

Survivors include his wife; siblings, Judy (Larry) Chaput, Clifton, KS, Sue (Toby) Duis, Concordia, KS, Steve (Kim) Mueller, Clifton, and Jody (Kevin) Turnbull, Vliets, KS; nephews and nieces, Ryan Chaput, Tim Mueller, Mark Mueller, Jeremy Duis, Josh Mueller, Phillip Mueller, Lisa McFadden, Lora Carmichael and Sarah Turnbull.

A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later.  Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel.
