Obituary-Sylvia Lippe

Sylvia Lippe, 89 died November 9, 2024, in Clay Center, KS.  She was born on February 4, 1935, in Clay County, the daughter of Enos and LaVerne (Forsythe) Schooley.  Sylvia was raised in the Clay Center community and was a graduate of the Class of 1953 from Clay Center High School. She married Howard Lippe on November 22, 1953.  They made their home and farmed in Clay County.  Sylvia worked in medical records at the Clay County Hospital until her retirement.  She played the organ and piano for the Morganville Methodist Church before transferring her membership to the First Presbyterian Church.  Sylvia served as a girl scout leader for many years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters-in-law, Delores McMurtrie and Florene Robinson

Daughter: Michelle and husband Mike Nuss of Arlington, TX

Daughter: Melanie and husband Matt Francis of Corinth, TX

Grandchildren: Mark (Jessica) Lippe, Adam (Anna) Lippe, Zachary Nuss, Ryan Nuss

Great-grandchildren: Candace, Ethan, Corbin, and Cole Lippe

Brother -in-Law: Duane and wife LaDonna Lippe, Clay Center, KS

Sister-in-Law: Nancee and husband Bill Steenbock, Longford, KS

Funeral Services: 11:00 AM Friday, November 15, 2024, at the First Presbyterian Church in Clay Center, KS 

Minister: Rev. Scott Lingle

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Visitation: 4-7 PM Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
