Obituary-Wanda Fowles

Wanda Fowles, 93 died April 4, 2024, in Clay Center, KS.  She was born on June 23, 1930, in Clay Center, the daughter of Hartsel and Leota Long.  Wanda was raised in Clay Center and was a Class of 1948 graduate from Clay Center High School.  Following high school, she attended beauticians’ school.  Wanda married Orrin Fowles on June 13, 1948.  She owned and operated a beauty salon for many years, owned and operated Jo and Wanda’s Clothing Store and was the owner and broker for Clay Center Real Estate. Orrin preceded her in death on March 12, 2017.  Wanda was in the local Aglow Christian organization and loved playing bridge with her friends.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Duane and Alfred Long and son-in-law, Bill Cranmer.

Funeral Services: 10:30AM Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS 

Burial: Greenwood Cemetery, Clay Center, Kansas

Visitation: 5-7 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home
