Wyatt Christopher Speakman, age 15, of Excelsior Springs, MO, died June 14, 2025 in an automobile accident near Mahaska, KS.
Visitation with family present will be Friday, June 20, from 4-8 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 21, at the Washington Christian Church.
Burial will follow in the Washington City Cemetery.
Wyatt was born on September 20, 2009 in Washington, KS to Chris and Monica (Zabokrtsky) Speakman. He attended school in Excelsior Springs, school came easy for him. Wyatt was very social and could talk to anyone.
Wyatt learned to drive in “Wally” an old car on the family farm. He was very active riding dirt bikes, four wheelers and working on cars. Wyatt could operate any piece of equipment. He loved fishing and liked people and enjoyed helping neighbors or anyone when they would ask for help.
Preceding him in death were an uncle, Lance Bonar; aunt, Jelsi Smith; and infant cousin, A.J. Smith.
Survivors include his mother, Monica (Jay) Smith, Excelsior Springs, MO; father, Christopher (Whitney) Speakman, Belleville; siblings, Taylor Larson, Pittsburg, KS, Devon Speakman, Belleville, Sydnie Speakman, Linn, Bryanna (Bailey) Smith, Excelsior Springs, MO Everlee Speakman, Belleville, Taylor, Tanner and Kinley Inglsbee, Belleville Domanick (Madison) Gould, Anchorage, AK; nieces and nephew, Amora, Amaya and Maximus; grandparents, Daniel Zabokrtsky, Washington, Roxanne Zabokrtsky, Marysville, Deanna and Jim Bonar, Fairbury, NE, Larry and Sandy Smith, Jansen. NE, Troy and Jaci Speakman, Bruning, NE, Melinda and Ben Beeson, Belleville and Leo and Debbie Inglsbee, Stockton; and several aunts uncles and cousins.
