Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab is issuing a reminder to Kansans that today, February 20th, marks the deadline to register to vote in the March 19th presidential primary election. Today also serves as the deadline to apply for an advance mail ballot.
“I encourage all eligible Kansans to participate in this historic election,” Schwab said. “The presidential preference primary is unique. The timelines and laws governing this election differ from other primary or general elections. One notable difference is today’s additional deadline of advance mail ballot applications.”
Kansans have the option to register to vote or revise their voter registration details online through VoteKansas.gov. Alternatively, they can register to vote or deliver their advance mail application in person at their county election office or the secretary of state’s office.
Per state law, in-person advance voting may begin on February 28th. For more information on advance voting, contact your county election office.
