The City of Concordia has announced a change in the location of the community leaf dump, effective today, October 22nd. According to a press release from the City of Concordia, this move is aimed at improving accessibility for residents and enhancing overall service and efficiency.
The new leaf dump site will be located at 1897 N. 140th Road, replacing the previous site that was in the City Park’s East parking lot. This new location will allow for better management of leaf disposal, ensuring that residents can dispose of their yard waste during the fall season.
The City of Concordia also wanted to remind residents that this is a leaf-only dumpsite. No limbs, grass, or trash will be permitted.
“We are committed to providing our residents with the best possible services. This new location will not only make it easier for our residents to maneuver in and out of while disposing of leaves but will also aid in reducing leaf accumulation in storm drains, which can lead to clogs and flooding during heavy rains,” Chris Atkins, Director of Parks and Recreation, said.
The leaf dump is only open to residents from October 22nd to December 1st.
