Memorial Health System, like so many other facilities in the state of Kansas, has faced the difficult challenges of sustainability for its inpatient senior behavioral health program; the ROSE Unit. After 26 successful years of caring for our senior population, it is with deep regret and careful consideration, that this line of business will close effective February 1, 2024. The ROSE Unit will not take any more admissions as of December 20, 2023. These specialized services are still offered at the following places in Kansas. Girard Medical Center in Girard, Senior Behavioral Health Center in Newton, and Senior Behavioral Health Center in Leavenworth.
