U.S. 40 Business bridge repair to begin Thursday in Junction City

Press Release

Beginning Thursday, June 6, the Kansas Department of Transportation plans to begin a bridge repair on U.S. 40 Business. The bridge is located over the Smoky Hill River in Junction City.

During construction, traffic will be reduced to one 12-foot lane in each direction at a reduced speed. Motorists should expect minimal delays.

PCI Roads LLC of Saint Michael, Minnesota is the prime contractor for this $249,240 project and has scheduled work to be completed in late September, weather permitting.

KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone.  To stay aware of all road construction projects across Kansas, go to www.kandrive.org or call 5-1-1.
