On Tuesday night the Lady Tigers traveled to Chapman and swept the Irish to secure their second straight North Central Kansas League Championship. Clay Center won in straight sets 25-9/25-13 and 25-17/25-11. Sophomore Raicee Lipker added to her assist total, which ranks amongst the best in the state, with 42 set-ups. At the net the Lady Tigers got big swings from Raimee Lipker (16 Kills), Addy Pladson (14 Kills) and Lily Edwards (11 Kills). Defensively Raimee Lipker had 21 digs: Edwards 18, Molly McGee 11, Pladson 10 and Miley McGee 8. Clay Center has now won five NCKL titles in the last six years. Clay Center had a quick turnaround hosting a triangular Thursday night. They would have wins over Central Plains 25-8/25-10 and over Smoky Valley 25-16/25-18. It was Senior Night in The Den honoring the three Lady Tiger seniors Savannah Bloomdahl, Braylee Langvardt and Miley McGee. Clay Center travels to Clearwater Saturday for tournament play and will wrap up the regular season on Tuesday at Concordia. The Lady Tigers are now (29-2) with a perfect (10-0) league record.
