The Kansas City Chiefs have reached a contract agreement with European rugby standout Louis Rees-Zammit. Rees-Zammit, 23, will be evaluated as a potential asset in various offensive positions, particularly as a return specialist given the NFL’s updated kickoff regulations. He announced his intention to transition to the NFL in January and recently showcased his speed with a 4.43-second 40-yard dash. The Welsh player visited multiple teams before finalizing terms with the Chiefs. This season, the NFL has implemented provisions to support international players, including a dedicated spot on practice squads and roster exemptions, aiming to enhance opportunities for player development and inclusion.
