MANHATTAN, Kan. – Four K-State pitchers were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on Tuesday: Owen Boerema, Jacob Frost, Tyson Neighbors, and Josh Wintroub. Boerema, a two-time All-Big 12 selection, graduated with a master’s in academic advising and a 3.71 GPA. This season, he leads the team with six victories and 105 strikeouts. Frost, in his first season with K-State, has a 3-1 record and a 7.49 ERA, and owns a 3.82 GPA in communication studies. Neighbors, with a 3.84 GPA in professional strategic selling, leads the bullpen with nine saves and is third all-time in K-State history with 20 career saves. Wintroub, holding a 3.83 GPA in data analytics, has made 16 appearances with 56 strikeouts. The Wildcats face Virginia in the NCAA Super Regionals starting June 7, with the series broadcast on ESPNU and K-State Sports Network.
