After a successful career with the Green Bay Packers, Jordy Nelson is back in the NFL—this time as an NFL and NFLPA Hearing Officer.
Instead of a traditional coaching or front-office position, Nelson will decide appeals of on-field player discipline. Alongside Derrick Brooks, Ramon Foster, and Kevin Mawae, Nelson will review player suspensions and fines under the league’s new expanded officer team.
After retiring in 2019, Nelson focused on his family farm in Kansas. His new role emphasizes fair decision-making and upholding league standards, reflecting the professionalism he showed as a player.
It’s not the type of comeback many expected, but Nelson’s return is sure to have an impact.
