By Jayson Henderson

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State volleyball has received the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 2023-24 academic year, marking the 14th consecutive year the team has achieved this honor. This award is given to programs that maintain a team grade-point average of 3.30 or higher.

This is the 22nd time K-State volleyball has earned this accolade. The team’s 3.365 GPA for the academic year was bolstered by six players being named to the Academic All-Big 12 First Team. Notably, Mackenzie Morris, Molly Ramsey, and Symone Sims each achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring semester.

Head Coach Jason Mansfield, entering his second season, leads a squad that includes AVCA All-American Honorable Mention Aliyah Carter and Big 12 All-Rookie Team member Aniya Clinton. The Wildcats aim to build on last season’s success, which included five Top 25 wins.
