MANHATTAN, Kan. – Junior left-hander Jacob Frost pitched 5 2/3 innings as the K-State offense produced 20 hits Saturday, leading to a 17-3 victory over UMass Lowell at Tointon Family Stadium. K-State (6-3) responded to an early 1-0 deficit with six runs in the third inning, highlighted by a three-run single from catcher Cayden Phillips. The Wildcats scored 11 runs over the final three innings, including home runs by Brendan Jones, Raphael Pelletier, and a grand slam by freshman Nick English. Frost earned his first victory, allowing two runs on seven hits. Blake Dean pitched 2 1/3 innings in relief. Six Wildcats recorded multiple hits, with Chuck Ingram going 4-for-5 and scoring three runs. K-State clinched its second series of the season and will play the final game against UMass Lowell on Sunday.
